June 5, 2025 Xeon & Partners Law Firm

Xeon & Partners Law Firm has been selected among the first cohort of Data Compliance Assessment Service Providers of the Jiangsu Data Exchange, further strengthening the firm’s involvement in China’s developing data transaction and compliance ecosystem. The selection was announced on 28 May 2025.

The Jiangsu Data Exchange serves as a key data trading platform in Jiangsu Province, supporting the compliant circulation, market-based allocation and commercial use of data across sectors including finance, healthcare, transportation and environmental services.

The latest recognition builds on Xeon & Partners’ previous work in the data trading sector. In 2024, the firm became the first Jiangsu-based law firm to obtain recognition as a Data Compliance Assessment Service Provider from the Shanghai Data Exchange and also obtained relevant service-provider recognition from the Wuxi data trading platform.

Xeon & Partners has developed a dedicated practice in data compliance and cross-border data matters. Its lawyers advise businesses on issues including data transaction compliance assessments, data product listing, cross-border data transfers, personal information protection, data compliance due diligence and regulatory requirements arising from the commercial use of data.

The firm’s legal practice is supported by the Xeon Institute of Cross-Border Compliance, which conducts research on data regulation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and other emerging areas of cross-border compliance. Members of the firm’s team have also participated in professional research, standard-setting projects and data transaction initiatives.

The Jiangsu Data Exchange appointment represents another step in Xeon & Partners’ continued development of its data compliance practice and its work supporting businesses navigating China’s evolving data governance and data transaction framework.
