Nancy Zhang and Jia Zhao of Xeon & Partners Law Firm were invited to participate in the 20th SCLA Global Forum, an international legal forum bringing together legal professionals to exchange views on the role of international legal directories in the global legal services market.
The forum focused on the practical value of international legal directories and rankings for law firms and lawyers, including their impact on market visibility, professional reputation, client development and international business opportunities. Participants also discussed whether the benefits of legal directories differ between large international firms and smaller or regional practices.
During the forum, Nancy Zhang, Founder and Managing Partner of Xeon & Partners Law Firm, delivered an English-language presentation on “The Impact of International Legal Directories on Boutique Law Firms.” Her presentation examined the role that international legal directories can play in the development of boutique law firms and considered how smaller firms can approach international recognition in a legal market traditionally dominated by larger organisations.
The discussion also addressed the practical process of participating in international legal directories and whether such recognition can translate into meaningful professional and business opportunities. SCLA’s official forum materials identify these questions as central themes of its International Legal Directory in Practice Forum.
Participation in the forum formed part of Xeon & Partners’ continuing engagement with the international legal community and its focus on cross-border legal services and international professional cooperation. The firm continues to develop connections with legal professionals and institutions across different jurisdictions in support of clients involved in international business and cross-border matters.
